What are the different Tinting Options you offer

Solid

This is the most common style of tint for lenses and is a uniform colour that covers the entire lens. Prescription glasses will typically have a clear tint to match the original lenses, whereas you can get more inventive with solid tints for sunglasses. At Designer Optics, we offer solid lens tints in grey, brown, grey-green, pink and blue. A solid grey tint will reduce the brightness of the sun while allowing you to keep your colour perception, whereas a brown tint enhances colour contrast. Green lenses will increase the sharpness of your vision and can reduce the strain on your eyes in bright environments. Pink tints create a contrast to block blue light, whereas a blue tint is ideal for protecting your eyes from the light of your computer screen.

Gradient

Gradient lenses are tinted lenses where the colour is darkest at the top before gradually lightening until the lowest part of the lens where there may be no colour at all. Gradient lenses are ideal for driving or sporting activities as they will protect your eyes from the sun with the darkest part of the lens while still giving you a clearer line of vision of what is ahead of you. This type of lens tint offers both protection from UV rays and clear vision, making it one of the most popular types of coloured tints for lenses, as well as for fashion.
