DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Flexon NATHANIEL 600 men's eyeglasses combine professional style with the brand's proven memory metal technology. Built with a full-rim rectangular frame in stainless steel, these prescription-ready glasses feature Flexon's proprietary titanium-based alloy in the bridge and temples—the same material that's been setting the durability standard since 1988.

Memory Metal That Actually Works

Flexon frames use a titanium-nickel alloy (NiTiNOL) that can be bent, twisted, or flexed and will return to its original shape. This isn't marketing—it's the result of decades of materials engineering. The memory metal construction makes the NATHANIEL 600 lighter and more resistant to fatigue than conventional metal frames, and it requires minimal adjustment over time. If you've sat on your glasses before or have kids who grab them, you'll appreciate frames that bounce back.

The temples feature an embossed rectangular-brick pattern in contrasting shiny and matte finishes, adding visual interest without going overboard. Adjustable silicone nose pads let you dial in the fit to match your nose bridge, distributing weight evenly and preventing the slipping and pressure points that plague cheaper frames. The modified rectangle shape works especially well for round and oval faces, adding structure and definition.

Prescription-Ready for Single Vision or Progressives

The NATHANIEL 600 accepts prescription lenses including single vision, bifocals, and progressives. The full-rim design provides maximum lens stability, which matters if you're running a higher prescription or opting for progressive lenses that need precise alignment. Available in two sizes (52mm and 54mm lens width) and four versatile colors—Dark Brown, Dark Gunmetal, Navy, and Slate—so you can match your style whether you're in the office or off the clock.

These frames ship with a 140mm temple length and either a 52-17 or 54-17 bridge-and-lens configuration. If you need glasses that can keep up with an active lifestyle, a physical job, or just the chaos of everyday life, the Flexon NATHANIEL 600 delivers the durability and comfort that made the brand a category leader.

Same frames, better lenses, and cheaper than my Plan

If you are remotely technical or have a friend who is, enter your prescription info and select frames and lens options. A week later completed glasses ship. Cheaper than my "Vision Plan" provider. Very pleased. I rarely leave positive reviews!

Good deal

I bought these as a replacement for the same frames I currently have which were a bit worn. They are exactly the same as my optometrist carries but less expensive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Flexon NATHANIEL 600 eyeglasses compatible with progressive lenses?

Yes, the Flexon NATHANIEL 600 is fully compatible with progressive lenses. The full-rim rectangular design provides excellent lens stability and the frame's modified rectangle shape is specifically noted as suitable for progressive lenses. The adjustable nose pads also help ensure proper lens alignment, which is critical for progressive lens performance.

What is Flexon memory metal and how does it work?

Flexon memory metal is a proprietary titanium-nickel alloy (NiTiNOL) that allows the frames to be flexed, bent, or twisted and return to their original shape. Developed by Marchon Eyewear and launched in 1988, the material is lighter and more durable than conventional metals. The memory metal is incorporated into the bridge and temples of the NATHANIEL 600, making these frames exceptionally resistant to everyday wear and accidental damage.

What face shapes work best with rectangular eyeglasses like the NATHANIEL 600?

Rectangular frames like the NATHANIEL 600 work best for round, oval, and diamond face shapes. The angular lines of rectangle glasses add definition and structure to softer facial features, helping to balance rounded jawlines. For round faces especially, rectangular frames are considered an ideal choice as they provide contrast to curved features.

Can I adjust the nose pads on the Flexon NATHANIEL 600?

Yes, the NATHANIEL 600 features adjustable silicone nose pads mounted on small metal arms. You can adjust them closer together, farther apart, higher, or lower to customize the fit to your nose bridge. This adjustability helps prevent slipping, reduces pressure points, and ensures the lenses align properly with your eyes—especially important for progressive or higher-prescription lenses.

How durable are Flexon eyeglasses compared to regular metal frames?

Flexon eyeglasses are significantly more durable than conventional metal frames. The memory metal construction allows them to withstand bending and twisting without breaking, and they return to their original shape after stress. Flexon frames are designed for active lifestyles, physical jobs, and anyone who has experienced broken frames in the past. Customer reviews consistently note the frames' ability to survive drops, accidental bends, and daily wear.

What sizes are available for the Flexon NATHANIEL 600?

The Flexon NATHANIEL 600 is available in two sizes: 52-17-140 and 54-17-140. The first number is the lens width (52mm or 54mm), the second is the bridge width (17mm), and the third is the temple length (140mm). Both sizes feature the same rectangular shape and are available in four colors: Dark Brown, Dark Gunmetal, Navy, and Slate.

Flexon NATHANIEL 600 vs. EINSTEIN 600 vs. LARSEN 600

All three models belong to Flexon's 600 collection and share the brand's signature memory metal technology in the bridge and temples. Each offers the same core benefits: lightweight titanium-based construction, the ability to flex and return to shape, and prescription compatibility including progressives. The differences come down to styling details and sizing options.

The NATHANIEL 600 stands out with its embossed rectangular-brick pattern on the temples, available in shiny and matte finishes. This textured detail adds visual interest and a modern edge that appeals to wearers who want their frames to make a subtle statement. It's available in four colors (Dark Brown, Dark Gunmetal, Navy, Slate) and two sizes (52mm and 54mm lens width).

The EINSTEIN 600 offers a similar full-rim rectangular shape at a comparable price point. It's a solid alternative if you're comparing models within the 600 line, though specific temple styling and color availability may differ. Both the NATHANIEL and EINSTEIN deliver the same durability and memory metal performance.

The LARSEN 600 takes a more minimalist approach with clean temple lines and no embossed detailing. It's ideal if you prefer understated frames that don't call attention to themselves. The LARSEN is available in a larger 57mm lens width option, making it a better fit for those with wider faces. It also starts slightly lower in price at $109.54.

Our take: Choose the NATHANIEL 600 if you want the embossed temple pattern and the widest color selection. Go with the LARSEN 600 if you prefer minimal styling or need the larger 57mm size. The EINSTEIN 600 sits in the middle as a versatile rectangular option. All three deliver Flexon's proven durability—you really can't go wrong.
