Description

Keep your eyewear spotless with this essential Lens Cleaning Kit from Designer Optics. This compact kit pairs a 20ML lens cleaning spray with a 6"x4" sky blue microfiber cloth—everything you need for crystal-clear lenses at home or on the go.

Streak-Free Cleaning for All Your Lenses

The included lens cleaning spray works effectively on eyeglasses, sunglasses, prescription lenses, and even camera lenses and phone screens. The microfiber cloth's tightly woven fibers trap dust, oil, and fingerprints without scratching, leaving your lenses spotless. For best results, spray a small amount onto each lens, then wipe gently using horizontal and vertical strokes—not circular motions—to prevent smudging.

This cleaning solution is safe for anti-reflective coatings, polarized lenses, and all lens types. Unlike harsh household cleaners, it won't damage delicate coatings or leave residue behind. The 20ML bottle is perfectly sized for your purse, car, or desk drawer, so you can tackle smudges whenever they appear.

Reusable Microfiber Cloth

The sky blue microfiber cloth measures 6"x4"—large enough to clean comfortably, yet compact enough to store in your eyeglass case. Microfiber is the gold standard for lens cleaning because its ultra-fine fibers lift away dirt and oils that regular cloths just push around. When your cloth gets dirty, simply hand wash it in cold water with a few drops of mild, bleach-free soap (no fabric softener), rinse thoroughly, and air dry. With proper care, this cloth will last for hundreds of cleanings.

Whether you wear prescription glasses daily, protect your eyes with sunglasses, or need to keep camera lenses pristine, this affordable kit delivers professional-quality cleaning without the professional price tag.

Eddie Bauer clip on Sunglasses do not stay on

I love the fit of these magnetic clip ons, but unfortunately they come off way too easy. Just a strong wind will blow them off and for me this is a problem because I fish a lot and they usually land on the water and sink immediately!

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this lens cleaning spray safe for anti-reflective coatings?

Yes, this lens cleaning spray is formulated to be safe for all lens types, including anti-reflective (AR) coated lenses, polarized lenses, and other protective coatings. Always avoid alcohol-based cleaners on coated lenses, as they can damage the coating over time. This spray provides streak-free cleaning without harming delicate lens treatments.

How do I properly clean my glasses with this kit?

First, spray a small amount of cleaning solution onto each lens. Then, gently wipe the lenses with the microfiber cloth using horizontal and vertical strokes—avoid circular motions, which can cause smudging. For heavily soiled lenses, rinse your glasses under lukewarm water first to remove grit before using the spray and cloth.

How often should I wash the microfiber cloth?

You should wash your microfiber cleaning cloth every 1 to 2 weeks with regular use. Hand wash it in cold water with a few drops of mild, bleach-free soap (no fabric softener), rinse thoroughly, and air dry. Regular washing opens the gaps between fibers so the cloth can continue trapping dust and oils effectively.

Can I use this cleaning kit on my phone and tablet screens?

Absolutely. This lens cleaning kit works on a wide variety of surfaces beyond eyeglasses, including smartphone screens, tablets, computer monitors, camera lenses, and other electronic devices. The gentle formula and microfiber cloth are safe for all these surfaces and won't leave streaks or scratches.

What size is the spray bottle and how long will it last?

The spray bottle contains 20ML (approximately 0.7 oz) of cleaning solution. This compact, travel-friendly size fits easily in a purse, pocket, or desk drawer. With typical use (one squirt per lens side), a bottle this size can clean your glasses dozens of times before needing replacement.

Why shouldn't I clean my glasses with my shirt or paper towels?

Clothing fibers and paper towels can scratch your lenses because they're rougher than microfiber and may contain particles that act like sandpaper on delicate lens coatings. Microfiber cloths are specifically designed with ultra-fine fibers that lift away dirt and oils without causing damage, making them the safest choice for all lens types.

Lens Cleaning Kit vs. Anti-Fog Solutions: Which Do You Need?

If you're building your eyewear care routine, you might be wondering whether to choose a traditional cleaning kit or an anti-fog product. Here's how our Lens Cleaning Kit with Microfiber Cloth compares to other lens care options in our store.

Lens Cleaning Kit vs. Anti-Fog Spray

Our Lens Cleaning Kit ($11.99) and the Revolutionary Anti-Fog Spray ($11.99) serve different but complementary purposes. The cleaning kit is your daily workhorse—it removes fingerprints, dust, and oils to keep your lenses crystal clear. The anti-fog spray, on the other hand, prevents fogging when you're wearing a mask, moving between temperature extremes, or in humid conditions.

The cleaning kit includes both spray and a reusable microfiber cloth, making it a complete solution for everyday maintenance. The anti-fog spray focuses on a specific problem but doesn't include a cloth. Many customers find they need both: the cleaning kit for regular use and the anti-fog spray for specific situations like mask-wearing or winter weather.

Reusable Kit vs. Disposable Wipes

Compared to our Anti-Fog Wet Wipes 30-Pack ($12.49), this cleaning kit offers better long-term value and sustainability. The wipes are convenient for travel and come individually wrapped, but they're single-use and will eventually run out. Our cleaning kit, with its refillable spray bottle and washable microfiber cloth, can be used hundreds of times.

If you clean your glasses daily, the reusable kit is more economical and eco-friendly. The wipes make sense for occasional use, travel, or keeping a few in your car or gym bag as backups. For your primary cleaning method at home or the office, the spray-and-cloth combination delivers professional results without the ongoing cost or waste of disposables.

Bottom line: Choose this Lens Cleaning Kit if you want an affordable, reusable solution for daily lens maintenance. Add the anti-fog spray if you frequently deal with fogging issues, or grab the wipes for on-the-go convenience.
