DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Oakley Hex Jector OX8032 eyeglasses deliver sport-performance engineering in a modern rectangular frame designed for prescription wearers who demand comfort, durability, and a secure fit during active lifestyles. Built with Oakley's lightweight O-Matter frame material—25% lighter and twice as strong as traditional acetate—these full-rim frames resist shifting and deforming over time while providing all-day comfort.

Featuring TruBridge technology with Unobtainium nose pads, the Hex Jector is engineered to stay in place no matter how hard you push yourself. The hydrophilic Unobtainium material increases grip with perspiration, ensuring a no-slip fit during workouts, sports, or daily wear. Ace-Fit adjustable temples allow eye care professionals to customize the fit based on your personal preference, while Oakley's patented Three-Point Fit holds the eyewear in precise optical alignment for superior vision clarity.

Good product, shipping could be faster

I ordered an Oakley Hex Jector frame from Designer Optics and had a good experience. The product was authentic and packaged well. Shipping wasn’t the fastest and came a bit late, but the price was worth it and the frame arrived in perfect condition. I’d order from them again for frames — hopefully with faster shipping next time, lol.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Oakley Hex Jector 8032 eyeglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the Oakley Hex Jector OX8032 frames are fully prescription-ready and designed to accommodate single vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses. These frames feature demo lenses that need to be replaced with your prescription lenses by an eye care professional. The frame's sport-performance design and TruBridge technology ensure optimal optical alignment for clear vision.

What is O-Matter frame material and why is it better?

O-Matter is Oakley's proprietary injection-molded thermoplastic material that's 25% lighter than acetate and twice as strong. It offers superior flexibility and impact resistance while being more heat and cold-resistant, preventing the frame from becoming brittle. This makes the Hex Jector ideal for active lifestyles and sports, as the material absorbs impact forces without deforming over time.

What are Unobtainium nose pads and how do they work?

Unobtainium is Oakley's proprietary hydrophilic material used on the nose pads and temple tips of the Hex Jector. Unlike regular materials that become slippery when wet, Unobtainium actually increases grip with perspiration or moisture. This ensures your glasses stay securely in place during intense physical activity, workouts, or hot weather—no slipping or constant readjustment needed.

What sizes are available for the Oakley Hex Jector OX8032?

The Oakley Hex Jector OX8032 is available in two sizes: 55mm (55-16-141) and 57mm (57-17-141). The first number indicates lens width, the second is bridge width, and the third is temple length. The 55mm size offers a medium fit while the 57mm provides a larger fit for wider faces. Both sizes feature the same sport-performance technologies and rectangular shape.

What is Ace-Fit adjustable temple technology?

Ace-Fit temples on the Hex Jector allow eye care professionals to adjust and customize the temple fit based on your personal preference and head shape. This feature enhances both comfort and retention, ensuring the frames stay securely positioned throughout the day. Combined with the lightweight O-Matter construction, Ace-Fit temples provide a personalized fit that adapts to your unique facial structure.

Are the Oakley Hex Jector frames good for sports and active lifestyles?

Absolutely. The Hex Jector is specifically engineered for sport performance prescription eyewear. The combination of lightweight O-Matter construction, no-slip Unobtainium nose pads, Three-Point Fit for optical alignment, and adjustable temples make these frames ideal for athletes and active individuals. Customers consistently praise the secure fit during workouts, comfortable all-day wear, and durability during intense activities.

Oakley Hex Jector 8032 vs. Similar Sport Performance Eyeglasses

Choosing the right Oakley prescription eyeglasses depends on your lifestyle, budget, and performance needs. The Hex Jector OX8032 stands out as Oakley's most advanced sport-performance RX frame, but how does it compare to other popular models in our collection?

Hex Jector 8032 vs. Plank 2.0 8081

The Oakley Plank 2.0 is a proven sport-performance frame with a bold rectangular design and wire-core temples for enhanced stability. At a lower starting price ($95.33 vs $187), the Plank 2.0 offers excellent value for active wearers. However, the Hex Jector's TruBridge technology with Unobtainium nose pads and Ace-Fit adjustable temples provide superior grip and customization—critical advantages for athletes who need guaranteed no-slip performance during intense activity. If you're pushing your limits in sports or high-intensity workouts, the Hex Jector's advanced grip technology justifies the investment.

Hex Jector 8032 vs. Airdrop 8046

The Oakley Airdrop 8046 offers mid-range pricing ($119-$227) and lightweight O-Matter construction in a versatile rectangular shape. While the Airdrop is a solid sport-oriented frame, it lacks the Hex Jector's TruBridge and Unobtainium technologies. For casual athletes or those seeking a comfortable everyday frame with sport styling, the Airdrop delivers. But if you need a frame engineered for guaranteed no-slip performance when you're sweating—whether running, cycling, or training—the Hex Jector's moisture-activated grip technology is unmatched.

Hex Jector 8032 vs. Holbrook RX 8156

The Oakley Holbrook RX 8156 is Oakley's iconic lifestyle frame with prescription capability, offering excellent value ($92-$187) and worldwide recognition. The Holbrook RX excels as an everyday, casual frame that transitions from the office to weekend activities. However, it's not engineered for sport performance like the Hex Jector. If your priority is versatile style for daily wear, the Holbrook RX is hard to beat. But if you're an athlete or active individual who needs eyewear that performs under pressure—staying locked in place during movement—the Hex Jector's sport-specific technologies make it the clear choice.

Why Choose the Hex Jector?

The Oakley Hex Jector OX8032 is purpose-built for athletes and active individuals who refuse to compromise. Its combination of TruBridge + Unobtainium nose pads (grip increases with sweat), Ace-Fit adjustable temples (professional customization), and Three-Point Fit (precise optical alignment) delivers unmatched performance in a prescription eyeglass frame. While other Oakley frames offer great value or lifestyle appeal, the Hex Jector is engineered for one thing: staying securely on your face while you push your limits.
