TERRIBLE!!!

Purchased a pair of sunglasses. It took them forever to arrive. When they arrived, they were the wrong ones!!! After jumping through hoops to get a return label to send them back, I had to AGAIN reach out to customer service because the correct pair still weren’t sent, even though the wrong pair had been received. I was told they would ship the correct pair that day. Yet anothe lie. So, again I had to reach out to them to request a refund. As of the time of this review, I’ve not received a response from them. I would NOT recommend this company at all!

Wrong prescription lens sent for child sunglasses

I ordered prescription sunglasses for my 8 year old daughter. I ordered a fun pair of lilac mirrored lens so she would wear them often. When I received the order, the prescription lens were the standard green lens pair. The lilac mirrored ones also were included, however, they were not prescription. When I emailed customer support they said sorry you selected a solid tint to match the original lenses and you needed to select the mirror coating as well. I communicated this was quite confusing since the description of my order was "Ray-Ban Kids Aviator Sunglasses in Gold - Lillac Flash". They closed the email by saying that if I wanted to redo the lenses with the mirror coating they could do it, however, I would need to pay for the new lenses. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from this company again.

The RJ9506S is designed for children ages 7–10, though the fit depends on face size. The 50mm lens size works well for younger kids and petite adults, while the 52mm size suits slightly older children or those with wider faces. Many customers report that petite women also wear these frames comfortably due to the smaller proportions.

Are Ray-Ban Kids Aviator RJ9506S sunglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the Ray-Ban Kids Aviator 0RJ9506S sunglasses feature RXS prescription-ready lenses. These frames can be fitted with custom prescription lenses to accommodate children who need vision correction, making them both stylish and functional for kids with visual needs.

Are Ray-Ban Junior RJ9506S sunglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the RJ9506S frames are fully prescription-ready and can accommodate most prescription lenses. The metal frame construction allows for easy lens customization, making them ideal for kids who need vision correction. You can add single-vision, progressive, or specialty prescription lenses through your optical provider.

What size are Ray-Ban RJ9506S kids aviator sunglasses?

The Ray-Ban Junior RJ9506S aviators are available in two lens widths: 50mm and 52mm. These youth-sized proportions are specifically designed for children's faces, offering a proper fit that's smaller than adult aviator models like the classic RB3025 which starts at 55mm.

Do these sunglasses provide UV protection for kids?

Absolutely. Every pair of Ray-Ban Junior RJ9506S sunglasses features lenses coated with 100% UV protection (UV400), blocking harmful UVA and UVB rays. This advanced protection is especially important for children's developing eyes, which are more vulnerable to sun damage than adult eyes.

Do Ray-Ban Kids Aviator RJ9506S provide UV protection?

Yes, Ray-Ban Kids Aviator RJ9506S sunglasses provide 100% UV protection, blocking harmful UVA and UVB rays. This is essential for protecting children's developing eyes from sun damage during outdoor activities.

What sizes are available for the Ray-Ban Junior Aviator RJ9506S?

The RJ9506S is available in two eye sizes: 50mm and 52mm. Both feature a 13mm bridge and temple lengths of 120mm or 125mm depending on the variant. The 50mm size has a frame width of approximately 124mm, making it ideal for narrower faces, while the 52mm offers slightly more coverage.

What material are Ray-Ban RJ9506S kids aviators made from?

The Ray-Ban Kids Aviator RJ9506S is constructed from metal stainless steel with a double bridge design. This durable material provides longevity and maintains the classic aviator aesthetic while being lightweight enough for comfortable all-day wear by children.

How do Ray-Ban Junior Aviators compare to adult Ray-Ban Aviators?

The RJ9506S is a scaled-down version of the classic adult Ray-Ban Aviator (RB3025), featuring the same iconic teardrop shape, double bridge, and metal construction. The main differences are the smaller lens sizes (50mm/52mm vs. 55mm/58mm/62mm in adult versions) and shorter temple arms designed to fit children's heads. The quality, UV protection, and style are identical.

Are Ray-Ban RJ9506S aviators suitable for both boys and girls?

Yes, the Ray-Ban Kids Aviator RJ9506S is designed as a unisex style suitable for both boys and girls. With over 34 color options ranging from classic Gold/Green to modern Blue Mirror and Lilac Flash, there are choices to suit every child's personal style preference.

Are the Ray-Ban Junior RJ9506S sunglasses durable enough for active kids?

Yes, these sunglasses are built with durable metal stainless steel frames and feature the same quality construction as adult Ray-Bans. The full-rim design provides maximum stability, and the adjustable nose pads help ensure a secure fit during active play. Many parents report these frames hold up well to daily wear, though proper care and storage are always recommended.

What's the difference between Ray-Ban Junior RJ9506S and adult Ray-Ban aviators?

The RJ9506S features smaller dimensions (50-52mm lens width) specifically proportioned for children's faces, compared to adult aviators like the RB3025 (55-62mm). The Junior model maintains the iconic double bridge aviator design and quality construction but in youth-appropriate sizing for proper fit and comfort.

Product Comparison

Ray-Ban Kids Aviator RJ9506S vs. Other Ray-Ban Junior Styles

Choosing the perfect sunglasses for your child means balancing style, fit, and functionality. The Ray-Ban Kids Aviator 0RJ9506S stands out as the only true aviator option in the Ray-Ban Junior collection, offering timeless pilot styling in youth-sized proportions with metal stainless steel construction and prescription-ready capability.

RJ9506S Aviator vs. RJ9052S New Wayfarer

The New Wayfarer RJ9052S ($51.38-$108) presents a completely different aesthetic with its bold, rectangular acetate frames. While both models are prescription-ready and offer excellent UV protection, the aviator's metal construction makes it lighter and more adjustable, while the New Wayfarer's acetate build may withstand rough handling better. The aviator's teardrop lenses provide more coverage and suit a wider range of face shapes, making it the more versatile choice for most children.

RJ9506S Aviator vs. RJ9066S Wayfarer

The original Wayfarer RJ9066S ($72.98-$121) commands a higher price but delivers that iconic 1950s aesthetic. Parents choosing between these styles should consider their child's face shape: aviators universally flatter most faces with their adjustable nose pads and curved design, while Wayfarers work best on round or oval faces. The RJ9506S aviator also offers more color variety with 34+ options versus fewer Wayfarer colorways.

RJ9506S Aviator vs. RJ9060S Erika

For a softer, more contemporary look, the Erika RJ9060S ($58.58-$108) features a rounded keyhole bridge design. While both models fall in similar price ranges, the aviator's double bridge metal construction provides superior adjustability and durability. The Erika's round lenses create a trendy, fashion-forward appearance, but the aviator's classic pilot shape offers timeless style that won't look dated as trends change.

Why Choose the RJ9506S Aviator? If you want the most iconic, versatile, and universally flattering style for your child, the RJ9506S aviator is the clear winner. Its metal construction keeps weight minimal, the adjustable nose pads ensure proper fit as your child grows, and the classic design works for any occasion from beach days to family photos. With prescription-ready lenses and 100% UV protection starting at just $51.38, it's an investment in both style and eye health.
