DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Ray-Ban Kiliane 4395F sunglasses bring back the bold rectangular aesthetic of the late '90s and early 2000s with a sustainable twist. Part of Ray-Ban's Bio-Based collection, these frames are made from bio-based acetate containing 67% bio-based carbon content—sourced from renewable wood pulp and cotton fibers rather than petroleum-based materials. Bio-acetate delivers the same durability as petroleum-based frames with 67% lower carbon footprint.

Design That Stands Out

The Kiliane features a pillow shape with softly rounded edges that sits confidently on the face without going oversized. The low, wide profile creates a modern silhouette that works across face shapes, while beveled details on the front add depth and dimension to the transparent color palette. Available in nine colors including transparent violet, orange, yellow, and brown, plus classic black and havana, each pair showcases the clarity and richness that bio-acetate allows.

The frame is built with molded acetate temples that flex gently to the curve of your head, and a high bridge fit designed for medium to large faces with higher nose bridges. At 54-21-140mm, the Kiliane offers solid coverage and a secure, comfortable fit for all-day wear.

Prescription-Ready & UV Protected

These sunglasses are prescription-ready, so you can add your Rx lenses and turn them into your everyday pair. The lenses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection and are lightweight, impact-resistant, and offer exceptional clarity—ideal for both urban wear and outdoor activities.

Ray Ban Kiliane 4395F

Nice pair of shades not to mention they are Lakers colors. I really like these, when you look through them it's doesn't reflect purple but a different color. Which make them even more cool.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Ray-Ban Kiliane 4395F sunglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the Ray-Ban Kiliane 4395F sunglasses are fully prescription-ready. The frame construction allows for prescription lenses to be fitted, making them a practical solution for those who need vision correction without sacrificing style. You can customize them with single vision, progressive, or polarized prescription lenses.

What is bio-based acetate and why does it matter?

Bio-based acetate is made from renewable resources like wood pulp and cotton fibers, combined with plant-based plasticizers instead of petroleum-based chemicals. The Kiliane frames contain 67% bio-based carbon content, which reduces reliance on fossil fuels and lowers the environmental impact. The material offers the same durability, flexibility, and premium finish as traditional acetate.

What face shapes work best with the Ray-Ban Kiliane?

The Kiliane's pillow shape—a blend of rectangular and softly rounded edges—works well with a wide range of face shapes, especially oval, round, and heart-shaped faces. The frame features a high bridge fit with a regular fitting, making it ideal for medium to large faces with higher nose bridges. The rectangular profile adds structure to rounder facial features.

How do the Ray-Ban Kiliane sunglasses fit compared to the Wayfarer?

The Kiliane has a lower, wider, more rectangular profile compared to the Wayfarer's classic trapezoidal shape. While the Wayfarer has a bold, angular silhouette, the Kiliane offers a sleeker, more contemporary Y2K-inspired look with softer pillow-shaped edges. The Kiliane also features transparent color options and a high bridge fit, whereas Wayfarers typically have a standard bridge.

Do the Ray-Ban Kiliane sunglasses provide UV protection?

Yes, all Ray-Ban Kiliane 4395F sunglasses provide 100% UVA and UVB protection. The bio-polyamide lenses are designed to block harmful UV rays while offering exceptional clarity and impact resistance. Depending on the color variant, lenses are available in solid tints, gradients, and polarized options for enhanced glare reduction.

What size are the Ray-Ban Kiliane 4395F sunglasses?

The Ray-Ban Kiliane 4395F measures 54-21-140mm, where 54mm is the lens width, 21mm is the bridge width, and 140mm is the temple length. This is a medium to large size frame with a regular fit and high bridge design, suitable for medium to large face shapes with higher nose bridges.

Ray-Ban Kiliane 4395F vs. Similar Styles

If you're drawn to the Ray-Ban Kiliane's contemporary rectangular aesthetic, you might also be considering a few other popular Ray-Ban frames. Here's how they stack up.

Kiliane vs. Justin 4165

The Ray-Ban Justin 4165 shares the Kiliane's modern rectangular vibe but takes a sportier approach with a rubberized matte frame finish. The Justin is slightly larger and offers more coverage, making it a great choice for outdoor activities. However, the Kiliane stands out with its sustainable bio-based acetate construction and vibrant transparent color options that give it a more fashion-forward, Y2K-inspired edge. If you prioritize eco-conscious materials and a sleeker, more refined look, the Kiliane is the better choice. If you want a casual, sporty frame with a matte finish, the Justin delivers.

Kiliane vs. New Wayfarer 2132

The Ray-Ban New Wayfarer 2132 is one of the most iconic sunglasses ever made, with a trapezoidal shape that's been a staple since the 1950s. While the New Wayfarer offers timeless appeal and a more compact, angular silhouette, the Kiliane brings a fresh, contemporary take with its low, wide pillow shape and sustainable bio-based acetate. The Kiliane's high bridge fit and transparent color palette make it ideal for those who want a modern, eco-friendly frame that stands out. The New Wayfarer is perfect if you're after classic Ray-Ban heritage and versatility across face shapes.

Kiliane vs. Erika 4171

The Ray-Ban Erika 4171 offers a softer, more rounded oversized silhouette with a vintage keyhole bridge. It's a great choice for those who prefer a feminine, retro-inspired look. The Kiliane, by contrast, has a bolder rectangular pillow shape that adds structure and definition to the face, making it better suited for round or oval face shapes. The Kiliane's bio-based construction and Y2K aesthetic give it a more contemporary, eco-conscious edge, while the Erika leans into classic vintage charm. Choose the Kiliane for a modern, sustainable statement; choose the Erika for soft, oversized elegance.
