DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Kliik K-797 Eyeglasses bring Scandinavian minimalism and bold color to a refined cat-eye silhouette. Designed for women who appreciate understated elegance with a modern edge, these prescription-ready metal frames combine lightweight stainless steel construction with the brand's signature dual-tone detailing.

Scandinavian Design Meets Modern Femininity

Kliik Denmark draws inspiration from Nordic design principles—clean geometry, functional materials, and vibrant color accents that make each frame feel intentional. The K-797's cat-eye shape features a soft upswept outer corner that adds lift and definition without overwhelming your features. The full-rim design in premium stainless steel ensures durability while keeping the frame remarkably light on your face.

What sets this frame apart is the textured temple detailing visible in the photos—a subtle diagonal pattern that catches light and adds visual interest. Each colorway combines a primary frame color with contrasting temple accents, creating depth that goes beyond standard single-tone frames.

Lightweight Stainless Steel Construction

Stainless steel frames offer a compelling balance of strength and comfort. The material resists corrosion and tarnishing, making it ideal for humid climates and daily wear. It's also hypoallergenic—most stainless steel eyewear is nickel-free, so it won't irritate sensitive skin. The single-bridge design distributes weight evenly, while the skull temples curve gently over your ears for a secure, comfortable fit during extended wear.

Prescription-Ready for Your Vision Needs

These frames accommodate single-vision, progressive, and reading prescriptions. The cat-eye shape provides sufficient lens height for progressive wearers, allowing smooth transitions between distance, intermediate, and near zones. The full-rim construction supports a wide range of lens materials and treatments, from standard plastic to high-index, blue-light blocking, and Transitions photochromic lenses.

Designed for Smaller Face Sizes

Kliik specializes in frames for narrower pupillary distances and smaller features—a thoughtful approach that ensures proper fit and optical alignment. If you've struggled to find metal cat-eye frames that don't slide down or feel oversized, the K-797's proportions are worth considering. The adjustable nose pads (visible in the product photos) allow for fine-tuning to match your bridge height and keep the frame centered on your face.

The K-797 works for everyday wear and professional settings alike, delivering Danish design at an accessible price point.

Almost just right

The service is good; prices are good. You offer many frames I like. My new frame looks good except for its being crooked as the right temple is too high. The optician did her best to straighten the frame prior to sending it away for lenses. She said it might be require further adjustments upon return. What recourse do I have if it’s not possible to straighten it?

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Kliik K-797 eyeglasses suitable for progressive lenses?

Yes, the K-797's cat-eye shape provides sufficient lens height for progressive prescriptions. The frame's vertical depth allows room for distance, intermediate, and near vision zones, and the adjustable nose pads help maintain proper optical alignment. This makes them a comfortable choice for multifocal wearers who need smooth transitions between viewing zones.

What makes stainless steel frames a good choice for eyeglasses?

Stainless steel eyeglass frames are lightweight, durable, and resistant to corrosion and tarnishing. They're also hypoallergenic—most are nickel-free, making them suitable for sensitive skin. The material maintains its appearance over time and offers excellent strength without the weight of traditional metal frames, providing all-day comfort.

Who is Kliik Denmark designed for?

Kliik Denmark specializes in eyewear for men and women requiring smaller eye sizes and narrower pupillary distances. The brand draws from Scandinavian design principles, featuring minimalist geometry elevated through bold coloration, intricate laser-cut detailing, and custom design elements. It's ideal for those who appreciate clean, modern aesthetics with personality.

What face shapes work best with cat-eye frames like the K-797?

Cat-eye frames are versatile and flattering for most face shapes. The upswept silhouette particularly complements round, oval, and heart-shaped faces by adding angular definition. For square or angular faces, the K-797's softer cat-eye shape helps balance strong features. The key is ensuring proper fit—the frame should sit securely without pinching or sliding.

Can I get prescription lenses in the Kliik K-797 frames?

Absolutely. The K-797 is fully prescription-ready and compatible with single-vision, progressive, bifocal, and reading lenses. You can also add lens treatments like anti-reflective coating, blue-light blocking, photochromic (Transitions), high-index for stronger prescriptions, and even prescription sun tints. The full-rim metal construction supports all standard lens materials.

How do I care for stainless steel eyeglass frames?

Stainless steel frames are low-maintenance. Clean them regularly with warm water and mild soap, then dry with a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. The corrosion-resistant properties mean they'll maintain their finish over time, even in humid environments. Store them in a protective case when not in use to prevent scratches.

Kliik K-797 vs. Similar Kliik Frames: Which Is Right for You?

If you're drawn to the Kliik K-797's Scandinavian minimalism and bold color palette, you might also be considering other frames in the Kliik collection. Here's how the K-797 stacks up against three comparable models in our catalog—all designed for smaller face sizes and priced within the same range.

Kliik K-797 vs. Kliik K-746: Cat-Eye vs. Alternative Metal Shape

The Kliik K-746 ($129.46–$131.0) is another women's metal frame from Kliik at virtually the same price as the K-797. Both share the brand's signature dual-tone detailing and lightweight stainless steel construction. The key difference is shape: the K-746 doesn't feature the cat-eye silhouette, so it offers a more neutral look. If you want the feminine lift and definition that cat-eye frames provide, the K-797 is the better choice. If you prefer a less dramatic shape that still delivers Kliik's color-layering aesthetic, the K-746 is worth exploring.

Kliik K-797 vs. Kliik K-787: Feminine Cat-Eye vs. Unisex Rectangle

The Kliik K-787 ($130.14–$132.45) is a rectangular stainless steel frame at the exact same price as the K-797. It's a more angular, unisex design that balances technical engineering with minimalism. The K-787 works well for both men and women and offers a professional, structured look. Choose the K-797 if you want a distinctly feminine frame with upswept corners that add softness and personality. Choose the K-787 if you prefer clean, straight lines and a more versatile, gender-neutral aesthetic.

Kliik K-797 vs. Kliik K-751: Metal Cat-Eye vs. Acetate Round

The Kliik K-751 ($129.46–$130.14) is a round acetate frame that offers a softer, vintage-inspired alternative to the K-797's modern metal cat-eye. Acetate frames have a warmer, more tactile feel and come in rich, layered colors. However, they're heavier than stainless steel and lack adjustable nose pads, which means less customization for fit. The K-797's metal construction is lighter, more durable, and better suited for all-day wear. If you love the idea of a retro round shape and don't mind a bit more weight, the K-751 is a charming option. If you prioritize lightweight comfort, adjustability, and the definition of a cat-eye shape, the K-797 is the superior choice.

Our recommendation: The Kliik K-797 stands out for its combination of feminine cat-eye styling, lightweight stainless steel construction, and adjustable fit. It's the best choice in this comparison for women seeking a modern, comfortable frame with personality and versatility for prescription lenses including progressives.
