DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Emporio Armani EA3038 eyeglasses bring Italian design sensibility to everyday prescription frames. Built from durable acetate with a distinctive matte rubber finish, these rectangle frames balance professional polish with comfortable, all-day wearability.

Rectangle Shape for Balanced Proportions

The EA3038's clean rectangle silhouette works well for round, oval, and heart-shaped faces, adding structure without overwhelming your features. The full-rim design provides maximum lens stability and durability, while the 16mm bridge and choice of 54mm or 56mm eye sizes ensure a proper fit across different face widths. At 140mm temple length, these frames sit securely without pinching.

Acetate Construction with Flexible Hinges

Acetate frames offer advantages over basic plastic: richer color depth, better resistance to temperature changes, and a more substantial feel. The matte rubber texture on the temples adds grip and a modern, understated look that resists fingerprints better than glossy finishes. Manufactured by EssilorLuxottica, these frames benefit from the same production standards as higher-tier luxury eyewear.

Available in versatile colors including black rubber, matte grey, transparent brown, and matte havana, the EA3038 adapts to both office environments and casual settings. Subtle Emporio Armani branding on the temples adds recognition without excess. These frames are prescription-ready and accommodate single-vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses—the generous lens height makes them particularly well-suited for progressives. Each pair ships with a branded case and cleaning cloth.

Great Buy!

The eyeglass store wanted to charge me $500 to replace my broken frames.

Designer Optics sold me two pairs for only$200 and I just poped out my old lens's and poped them in my new frames, very easy and I saved $400 dollers.

Legit website

I had these frames for a while. My frames broke after 2 years. Lenses Crafters stopped carrying them. I got the specifics and found them on this site. It is legit, take 2 weeks to get them. Overall it is legit and affordable pricing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Emporio Armani EA3038 eyeglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the EA3038 frames are fully prescription-ready and compatible with single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses. The rectangle shape and generous lens height (available in 54mm and 56mm eye sizes) make them particularly well-suited for progressive prescriptions, which require adequate vertical space for the different vision zones.

What material are the EA3038 frames made from?

The EA3038 frames are constructed from acetate (also referred to as nylon-based material in some listings) with a distinctive matte rubber finish. Acetate is a premium plastic material known for its durability, rich color depth, and resistance to temperature changes. The rubber finish provides enhanced grip and a modern, non-slip texture on the temples.

Do these frames have spring hinges?

Yes, the Emporio Armani EA3038 features spring hinges (also called flex hinges) that allow the temples to flex outward beyond 90 degrees. This provides a more secure and comfortable fit while reducing stress on the frame, making them ideal for people who frequently remove and put on their glasses throughout the day.

What face shapes work best with the EA3038 rectangle frames?

Rectangle frames like the EA3038 are particularly flattering for round, oval, and heart-shaped faces. The angular rectangle shape adds structure and definition to softer, rounded facial features, creating visual balance. The frame's total width of 128mm and available sizes (54mm and 56mm) accommodate a range of face widths.

Are Emporio Armani eyeglasses good quality and durable?

Yes, Emporio Armani eyeglasses are manufactured by EssilorLuxottica, the world's leading eyewear manufacturer, ensuring consistent quality standards. The frames use premium acetate, impact-resistant hinges, and Italian design. Multiple customer reviews confirm the frames are well-made and durable for daily wear, with proper construction down to the temple hinges.

What's included with the Emporio Armani EA3038 eyeglasses?

Each pair of EA3038 eyeglasses comes with a branded Emporio Armani case and cleaning cloth to protect and maintain your frames. The frames include demo lenses that will be replaced with your prescription lenses. As an authorized dealer product, they're covered by the manufacturer's warranty against defects.

Emporio Armani EA3038 vs EA3169 vs EA1041

If you're considering the Emporio Armani EA3038, you might also be weighing other rectangle frames from the same collection. Here's how these three popular models compare.

EA3038: The Modern Matte Option

The EA3038 stands out for its distinctive matte rubber finish and confirmed spring hinge construction. Available in 54mm and 56mm sizes with a 16mm bridge, it offers excellent progressive lens compatibility. The all-acetate construction with rubber texture provides superior grip and a contemporary, non-reflective appearance. Starting at $104.11, it sits in the mid-range of Emporio Armani's acetate collection.

EA3169: The Value Alternative

The Emporio Armani EA3169 offers similar rectangle styling in an acetate frame with a lower entry price ($86.85). If you're looking for the Emporio Armani aesthetic at the most accessible price point, the EA3169 delivers. However, specific feature details like spring hinges and finish options may differ from the EA3038.

EA1041: The Mixed-Material Choice

For those who prefer a combination of materials, the Emporio Armani EA1041 blends acetate and metal in its rectangle frame design. It includes spring hinges like the EA3038 but offers a different visual weight and feel. The metal accents create a slightly dressier look, though the price range extends higher ($111.55–$157.75).

Which Should You Choose?

Choose the EA3038 if you want the matte rubber finish, confirmed spring hinges, and a modern all-acetate frame that works equally well in professional and casual settings. The EA3169 makes sense if budget is your primary concern and you're flexible on specific features. The EA1041 is ideal if you prefer mixed materials and don't mind the higher price for metal accents.
