DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Flexon BENJAMIN 600 Eyeglasses combine classic rectangular styling with Flexon's memory metal technology for men who need prescription eyewear built to handle daily wear. These full-rim metal frames are constructed from a titanium-nickel alloy that flexes and twists, then returns to its original shape—designed to withstand the kind of stress that would permanently bend conventional metal frames.

The rectangular lens shape adds definition and structure, working well for round and oval face shapes. Full-rim construction provides stability for your prescription lenses, while adjustable nose pads let you fine-tune the fit so the frames sit comfortably without slipping or pinching. The slim metal temples feature a clean, minimalist design.

Available in three finishes—Black Chrome, Gunmetal, and Brown—and two lens widths (54mm and 56mm), the BENJAMIN 600 accommodates single vision, progressive, and bifocal prescriptions. The 18mm bridge and 140-145mm temples deliver a medium fit suited to most adult men. Flexon frames require minimal adjustment once fitted, and the memory metal construction in the bridge and temples means the frames flex back into place after bending.

These prescription-ready eyeglasses ship with demo lenses that can be replaced with your custom prescription by our certified optical lab. The lightweight titanium-nickel alloy keeps weight down while delivering long-term durability and comfort.

Well made frames

I have a pair of these Flexon frames purchased quite a while ago for computer glasses and once adjusted fit like a glove and have stayed that way without slipping down my nose. I now need regular glasses for reading and driving. The optometrist store and others didn't have any Flexon frames, so found this site and bought 4 pair, two to leave at work, and two for home use. Best ever prices!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Flexon BENJAMIN 600 frames prescription-ready?

Yes, the BENJAMIN 600 is fully prescription-ready and compatible with single vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses. When you order, you can add your prescription during checkout, and our certified optical lab will custom-fit your lenses to the frames. The full-rim design provides excellent stability for all prescription types.

How does Flexon's memory metal technology work?

Flexon frames use a titanium-nickel alloy (NiTiNOL) that has shape memory properties. The material can be flexed, bent, or twisted and will automatically return to its original shape. This technology was originally developed by NASA and makes the frames significantly more durable and resistant to permanent damage than conventional metal frames.

Do these eyeglasses have adjustable nose pads?

Yes, the BENJAMIN 600 features adjustable silicone nose pads that can be fine-tuned for a custom fit. This allows the frames to sit comfortably on your nose without slipping or pinching, and ensures proper alignment for your prescription lenses. The adjustable pads are particularly beneficial for all-day wear and for achieving the correct fitting height for progressive lenses.

What face shapes work best with rectangular eyeglass frames?

Rectangular frames like the BENJAMIN 600 work particularly well for round and oval face shapes, as they add definition and structure to softer facial features. The angular lines of rectangle frames create visual balance and can make round faces appear slightly longer and more defined.

How much do these frames weigh?

Flexon frames are exceptionally lightweight due to their titanium-based construction. The memory metal alloy is significantly lighter than conventional stainless steel, making the BENJAMIN 600 comfortable for all-day wear without causing pressure points or nose indentations. Customers consistently note that Flexon frames feel barely noticeable when worn.

What warranty coverage comes with Flexon eyeglasses?

Flexon eyeglasses typically come with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. Some retailers offer a 2-year warranty. The memory metal construction itself is designed for exceptional durability, and the frames can withstand bending and flexing that would permanently damage standard metal frames.

Flexon BENJAMIN 600 vs. Other 600 Series Models

Choosing between Flexon's 600 series eyeglasses often comes down to fit preferences and subtle style differences. All models share the same revolutionary memory metal technology, but each serves different needs.

BENJAMIN 600 vs. EINSTEIN 600

The BENJAMIN 600 and EINSTEIN 600 both feature rectangular frames with full-rim construction, but the EINSTEIN 600 distinguishes itself with bowed temples designed to accommodate wider heads more comfortably. The EINSTEIN is available in 52mm and 54mm lens widths, while the BENJAMIN offers 54mm and 56mm—making the BENJAMIN a better choice if you need a larger frame. Both use identical memory metal technology and offer the same durability, so your decision should be based on temple style preference and size requirements.

BENJAMIN 600 vs. NATHANIEL 600

At the same $116.31 price point, the BENJAMIN 600 and NATHANIEL 600 are direct competitors. Both feature rectangular metal construction with memory metal in the bridge and temples. The BENJAMIN offers three color options (Black Chrome, Gunmetal, Brown) compared to the NATHANIEL's more limited palette. If color variety and finish options matter to you, the BENJAMIN 600 provides more flexibility to match your personal style.

BENJAMIN 600 vs. LARSEN 600

The LARSEN 600 takes a minimalist approach with simplified temple detailing, creating a cleaner, more understated look. It starts at a slightly lower price ($109.54) compared to the BENJAMIN's $116.31. If you prefer eyewear that blends into the background rather than making a statement, the LARSEN's minimal design might appeal more. However, the BENJAMIN's refined detailing offers a more polished appearance that works well in professional settings.

Our recommendation: The BENJAMIN 600 hits the sweet spot for most buyers. Its 54mm and 56mm size options accommodate medium to larger faces, the three finish choices provide versatility, and the classic rectangular shape with refined temple detailing delivers a professional look without being overly formal. The straight temples (versus the EINSTEIN's bowed design) work well for most head shapes, and the price reflects excellent value for Flexon's proven memory metal technology.
