DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Adensco 112 eyeglasses deliver classic rectangular styling in a full-rim acetate frame that's built for everyday wear. These women's prescription eyeglasses combine practical design with quality materials at an accessible price point.

Durable Acetate Construction

The frames are made from cellulose acetate, a plant-based material derived from cotton and wood pulp. Unlike injection-molded plastic, acetate is formed by layering and polishing multiple sheets, which gives these frames their strength and flexibility. Acetate is naturally hypoallergenic, lightweight, and resistant to the everyday bumps that come with regular use. The material holds its shape well over time and won't feel heavy on your nose during long wear—important if you need glasses from morning to night.

Rectangle Shape & Fit

The rectangular lens shape works for a wide range of face shapes, especially round, oval, and heart-shaped faces. The clean lines add structure without looking overly bold. Available in two sizes—52mm and 54mm lens width—with an 18mm bridge and 145mm temples. The full-rim design provides excellent lens support and works well for stronger prescriptions, as the frame edge helps conceal lens thickness.

Prescription-Ready & Color Options

These frames accept single-vision, progressive, bifocal, and reading lenses. You can add anti-reflective coatings, blue light filtering, or photochromic lenses depending on your needs. The Adensco 112 comes in versatile colors: classic black for a professional look, dark havana tortoise for warmth, and blue crystal for a modern twist. Each finish features the same dependable construction and attention to detail.

The Adensco 112 works equally well at the office, for weekend errands, or as a backup pair. The acetate construction means they'll handle daily wear without loosening at the hinges or losing their shape after months of use.

I think I have been scammed

I ordered the wrong frame and contacted the company who then emailed me a label to return which would generate the replacement when return was received. It’s been almost a month now with no response. I have followed up Many times and still no response During the initial order process, I was somewhat impressed. However this Company no longer takes phone calls The Facebook comment page shows similar comments I WOULD NOT use thus company Hind sight is 20/20 no matter how bad your eyes are

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Adensco 112 eyeglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the Adensco 112 frames are fully prescription-ready and can accommodate single-vision, progressive, bifocal, and reading lenses. You can also add lens enhancements like anti-reflective coating, blue light filtering, or photochromic (transition) lenses. The full-rim acetate construction provides excellent support for lenses of varying strengths.

What size should I choose for the Adensco 112?

The Adensco 112 comes in two sizes: 52-18-145 and 54-18-145. The first number is the lens width (52mm or 54mm), the second is the bridge width (18mm), and the third is the temple length (145mm). If you have a narrow to average face, the 52mm lens width typically works well. For average to wider faces, choose the 54mm option. Your eyes should be centered within the lenses for optimal vision.

What are the benefits of acetate frames?

Acetate frames like the Adensco 112 offer several advantages over traditional plastic: they're more durable and flexible, making them less prone to breakage; they're lightweight for all-day comfort; they're hypoallergenic and skin-friendly; and they hold rich, lasting colors that don't fade easily. Acetate is made from plant-based materials (cotton and wood pulp) and is formed by layering multiple sheets, which gives it superior strength.

Who makes Adensco eyeglasses?

Adensco eyeglasses are manufactured by Safilo, one of the world's largest and most respected eyewear companies based in Italy. Safilo was founded in 1934 and produces frames for many top eyewear brands. Adensco is part of Safilo's house brand portfolio, offering Italian quality and craftsmanship at more accessible price points than luxury designer labels.

What face shapes work best with rectangle eyeglasses?

Rectangle eyeglasses like the Adensco 112 are universally flattering and work well for most face shapes, particularly round, oval, and heart-shaped faces. The angular lines of rectangular frames add structure and balance to softer facial features. They're less ideal for very angular or square faces, where rounder frames might provide better contrast.

Does the Adensco 112 come with a case?

Yes, authentic Adensco frames typically come with a matching case and microfiber cleaning cloth. As an authorized dealer, Designer Optics provides genuine Adensco eyewear with all manufacturer-included accessories. Adensco eyewear also carries a one-year manufacturer's warranty for added peace of mind.

Adensco 112 vs. Similar Adensco Frames

If you're considering the Adensco 112, you might also want to compare it to other frames in the Adensco collection. All three alternatives below are manufactured by the same Italian company (Safilo) and offer prescription-ready acetate construction, but they differ in styling and price.

Adensco 112 vs. Adensco Dorothy

Both the 112 and the Dorothy are women's full-rim acetate frames priced identically at around $63.49. The key difference lies in the frame shape and styling—the 112 offers a classic rectangular silhouette, while the Dorothy may feature different proportions or design details. If you prefer clean, angular lines, the 112 is your frame. If you want to explore other shapes while staying within the same quality and price tier, the Dorothy is worth considering.

Adensco 112 vs. Adensco Theo

The Theo is another Adensco option at the exact same $63.49 price point. Like the 112, it's prescription-ready and built from durable acetate. The choice between these two comes down to personal style preference—compare the frame shapes, color options, and how each fits your face. Both deliver the same Italian craftsmanship and value proposition that Adensco is known for.

Adensco 112 vs. Adensco 205

If budget is a primary concern, the Adensco 205 starts at just $38—significantly less than the 112. You're still getting Safilo quality and prescription-ready construction, but at a more accessible price. The trade-off may be in styling options, color selection, or frame geometry. The 205 is ideal if you want a backup pair or are new to Adensco and want to test the brand without a larger investment. For those who prioritize the 112's specific rectangular shape and finish, the extra cost may be worthwhile.

Bottom line: The Adensco 112 sits in the mid-range of the brand's offerings—not the cheapest, but still very affordable for Italian-made acetate frames. If you value the rectangular shape and the specific color options of the 112, it's a smart choice. If you're flexible on style, exploring the Dorothy, Theo, or 205 could save you money or offer a better fit for your face shape.
