DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The DKNY DK5034 eyeglasses bring New York energy to your everyday look. These women's frames feature a modern square shape in full-rim acetate construction, available in five distinctive color combinations that pair rich tortoiseshell patterns with complementary hues—from the sophisticated Soft Tortoise/Navy to the fresh Tokyo Tortoise/Green.

Acetate delivers more than good looks. The material is lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear, with a durability that keeps frames looking sharp season after season. The 53mm lens width and 17mm bridge offer a balanced fit for most face shapes, while the gently curved 135mm temples sit comfortably behind the ears without pinching.

Each frame carries the signature DKNY logo on the temples—a subtle nod to the brand's urban heritage. The square silhouette works particularly well for round or oval faces, adding definition without overwhelming your features. These frames are fully prescription-ready and compatible with single-vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses, making them as functional as they are stylish.

DKNY launched in 1989 with a focus on accessible, street-smart style for multifaceted lifestyles. That same versatility shows up in the DK5034: polished enough for the office, relaxed enough for weekends, and built to handle the demands of daily wear. The full-rim design provides excellent lens support and long-term structural integrity, while the color options let you match your frames to your wardrobe or mood.

If you're looking for women's eyeglasses that balance contemporary style with practical comfort, the DKNY DK5034 delivers. The acetate construction resists fading and peeling, the proportions suit a wide range of faces, and the price point makes designer eyewear accessible without compromising on quality or design.

don't order around a holiday

ordered glasses on 9/25 and received them on 10/23. when i checked on my order on the 6th business day (supposed to ship in 5 business days) a 3rd party company informed me that the Designer Optics staff weren't unavailable until after 10/16 due to the Succos holiday. Apparently, the frames had to be ordered from the manufacturer and didn't arrive before the holiday started on 10/7, yet i wasn't notified about the delay or upcoming closure. i ordered the same frames from another source & got them within a few days. when i finally received this pair, i then saw i wouldn't receive a full refund if i returned them due to shipment & handling fee costs. i have purchased from here before and had a great experience, so i'm not sure how i feel about ordering from here the next time i may need a pair of glasses.

cannot communicate with this company !

I have returned an item a few weeks ago, with no refund yet ! When I try calling them ( you can’t ), it’s always a recording saying "we are closed for the
holiday “. Hmmmmm ? what holiday ??? So , I emailed them instead, a week ago, and still NO response !! Much easier to but from them, than to return. Beware !!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are DKNY DK5034 eyeglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the DKNY DK5034 frames are fully prescription-ready and compatible with single-vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses. The full-rim acetate construction provides excellent lens support, and the 53mm lens width accommodates most prescription types. Simply provide your prescription details when ordering, and our licensed opticians will custom-fit your lenses.

What face shapes work best with the DKNY DK5034 square frames?

Square frames like the DK5034 work particularly well for round and oval face shapes, adding definition and balancing softer curves. The 53-17-135 sizing offers a medium fit that suits most face widths. If you have a square face, the slightly rounded corners of these frames can still work, especially in the lighter tortoise color options that create less contrast.

How durable are DKNY acetate eyeglass frames?

DKNY frames are made from high-quality acetate that's designed for daily wear. Acetate is lightweight yet durable, maintaining its shape and color over time without fading or peeling. Customer reviews note that DKNY frames hold their structure well even after long-term use, and the material is hypoallergenic, making it comfortable for sensitive skin.

What is the frame size of the DKNY DK5034?

The DKNY DK5034 measures 53-17-135, meaning a 53mm lens width, 17mm bridge width, and 135mm temple length. This is considered a standard medium fit for women's eyeglasses. The 53mm lens width is suitable for most face sizes, and the frame width accommodates a variety of facial proportions comfortably.

What colors are available for the DKNY DK5034?

The DK5034 comes in five color options: Soft Tortoise/Navy (240), Tokyo Tortoise/Green (281), Black Tortoise/Black (010), Ivory Tortoise/Khaki (101), and Amethyst Crystal/Violet Tortoise (520). Each combines a tortoiseshell pattern with a complementary accent color, offering versatile options from classic neutrals to more distinctive statement shades.

Are DKNY eyeglasses good quality for the price?

Yes, DKNY eyeglasses offer excellent value, balancing quality materials with accessible pricing. The brand uses durable acetate and reliable construction techniques, and customer reviews consistently highlight the combination of style and affordability. DKNY positions itself as accessible luxury—designer eyewear with New York-inspired style at a price point that doesn't require a luxury budget.

DKNY DK5034 vs. Similar Women's Acetate Eyeglasses

Shopping for women's acetate eyeglasses in the accessible luxury category? The DKNY DK5034 competes with several strong alternatives in our collection, each offering a slightly different take on designer eyewear.

DKNY DK5034 vs. DKNY DK5011

If you're already drawn to DKNY's New York-inspired aesthetic, the DK5011 offers a similar construction and price point (around $88) within the same collection. Both feature quality acetate and the brand's signature urban style. The key difference lies in frame shape and color selection—the DK5034 offers five distinctive tortoise-blend options and a square silhouette, while the DK5011 may feature a different shape that suits different face types. Choose the DK5034 if you prefer square frames and want more color variety.

DKNY DK5034 vs. Kate Spade Payton

The Kate Spade Payton (starting at $56) targets a similar customer but with a more playful, feminine design language. Both brands sit in the accessible luxury space, but Kate Spade leans into whimsical details while DKNY keeps things sleek and urban. If you want frames that work equally well in professional and casual settings, the DK5034's versatile square shape and sophisticated tortoise patterns may be the better choice. The Payton works well if you prefer a lighter, more fashion-forward look.

DKNY DK5034 vs. Tory Burch 2084

The Tory Burch 2084 ($84-$130) offers a preppy, polished alternative to the DK5034's urban edge. Both use quality acetate and target style-conscious women, but Tory Burch carries slightly more brand prestige at a modestly higher price. The DK5034 delivers better value if you prioritize versatile color options and a modern square shape. Choose the Tory Burch if you prefer a more classic, preppy aesthetic and don't mind spending a bit more.

Bottom line: The DKNY DK5034 stands out for its five distinctive color options, versatile square shape, and strong value at $94. It's the best choice if you want New York-inspired style, durable acetate construction, and frames that transition seamlessly from work to weekend.
