DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Kate Spade PAITYN eyeglasses bring a fresh take on the classic browline shape with a playful, modern twist. These prescription-ready frames for women blend a sleek stainless steel browline with full-rim construction and thick acetate temples that showcase colorful patterns and prints—from bold havana tortoise to eye-catching multicolor designs that add personality to every look.

The rounded browline with slightly lifted outer corners flatters a range of face shapes, while the mixed-material construction keeps the frames lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear. Adjustable silicone nose pads ensure a personalized fit, and spring hinges provide flexibility and durability. The temples feature the Kate Spade logo and the brand's cheerful "SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU" inscription—small details that make these frames unmistakably Kate Spade.

Measuring 53mm lens width, 17mm bridge, and 140mm temple length, the PAITYN fits most medium faces comfortably. These frames are fully prescription-ready and work beautifully with single vision, progressive, or bifocal lenses. The full-rim design conceals lens edges well, making them a smart choice if you have a stronger prescription. You can also add blue light blocking or anti-reflective coatings to customize your lenses.

Manufactured by Safilo for Kate Spade, these frames use quality Italian cellulose acetate and corrosion-resistant stainless steel—materials found in much pricier designer eyewear. Each pair ships with a Kate Spade protective case and cleaning cloth. Available in three color combinations: Black, Pattern Havana, and Havana Multicolor, so you can match your mood or wardrobe.

Love the company, love the response time. But hopefully on this order, the actual custom glass in the frame will actually fit the frame. The first order had a gap around the top of the room. Other than that, you guys are awesome.

I love the glasses but I ask for Single vision and you gave me lenses with Bifocals so I do not like that I cannot wear them had to take them to my eye doctor to get me some different lens so I appreciate my money back for the lenses and I’ll send you the lenses back to you

I hate them and would love a refund! They are warped and no way I can even wear them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Kate Spade PAITYN eyeglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the PAITYN frames are fully prescription-ready and can accommodate single vision, progressive, and bifocal lenses. The full-rim stainless steel and acetate construction provides a stable base for prescription lenses, and the 53mm lens width with 17mm bridge offers proper optical alignment. You can also add blue light blocking or anti-reflective coatings to customize your lenses.

What face shapes work best with the Kate Spade PAITYN frames?

The PAITYN's oval-meets-cat-eye browline shape flatters round, oval, and heart-shaped faces particularly well. The browline adds definition to softer face shapes, while the slightly upswept cat-eye silhouette balances wider foreheads. The 53mm lens width and 17mm bridge fit most medium faces comfortably.

What materials are the Kate Spade PAITYN eyeglasses made from?

The PAITYN features a mixed-material construction combining lightweight stainless steel for the browline and rims with acetate temples. The acetate temples showcase Kate Spade's signature colorful patterns and prints. Both materials are durable, hypoallergenic, and commonly used in premium designer eyewear.

Do the Kate Spade PAITYN frames have adjustable nose pads?

Yes, the PAITYN frames feature adjustable silicone nose pads that ensure a personalized, comfortable fit. The nose pads can be adjusted by an optician to sit properly on your nose bridge and prevent the frames from sliding down. This is especially helpful if you have a lower or higher nose bridge.

What size are the Kate Spade PAITYN eyeglasses?

The PAITYN measures 53mm lens width, 17mm bridge width, and 140mm temple length (53-17-140). This is considered a medium fit that works well for most adult women. The lens height is approximately 42.7mm, which provides enough vertical space for progressive lenses if needed.

What comes included with the Kate Spade PAITYN eyeglasses?

Each pair of Kate Spade PAITYN eyeglasses comes with a protective Kate Spade carrying case and a microfiber cleaning cloth. The frames are authentic designer eyewear manufactured by Safilo USA and carry a one-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship.

Kate Spade PAITYN vs. Similar Frames

If you're drawn to the Kate Spade PAITYN's browline cat-eye shape, you might also be considering other frames in the collection. Here's how the PAITYN stacks up against similar options.

PAITYN vs. Payton

Both frames share similar names and mixed-material construction, but the shapes differ significantly. The PAITYN features an oval-meets-cat-eye browline silhouette that flatters round and oval faces, while the Payton offers a square shape with metal temple accents. If you prefer softer, more feminine lines, the PAITYN is the better choice. If you want a more angular, structured look, consider the Payton. Both are prescription-ready and fall in the same price range.

PAITYN vs. Kamila

The Kamila is one of Kate Spade's most popular cat-eye frames, but it's constructed entirely from acetate rather than the PAITYN's metal-acetate mix. The Kamila has more dramatic upswept corners for a bolder cat-eye look, while the PAITYN's browline adds a retro-inspired detail that's more subtle. Choose the PAITYN if you want the structured feel of metal rims and a vintage browline aesthetic. Go with the Kamila if you prefer an all-plastic frame with a more pronounced cat-eye shape.

PAITYN vs. Laurianne

The Laurianne offers another oval option in the Kate Spade collection at a comparable price. However, it lacks the distinctive browline detail and mixed-material construction that make the PAITYN stand out. The PAITYN's stainless steel browline and colorful patterned temples give it more personality and visual interest. If you want a frame that makes a statement, the PAITYN is the stronger choice.

Why choose the PAITYN? The PAITYN is the best option if you want a frame that combines retro browline style with Kate Spade's playful, colorful aesthetic. The mixed metal-and-acetate construction offers both structure and personality, and the oval-cat-eye shape flatters a wide range of face shapes. The adjustable nose pads and spring hinges ensure all-day comfort, making these frames as functional as they are fashionable.
