Perfect Frames for Active Life

I have a very active lifestyle and use these frames for both my single vision and bifocal glasses. They don't jiggle or fall down during any activity and they are so comfortable you don't even realize you have them on. I have used Nike 7090's for the past 7 years and have had no issues with them whatsoever.

The glasses and glass don't fit properly

I received this order with glasses where the glass was placed in such a way that the glass is visibly out of the frame. These are thick Nike glasses and the glass looks pushed out to the edge instead of solidly centered within the frame. I'm disappointed in the quality and will probably not purchase again from Designer Optics.

Product Comparison

Nike 7090 vs Similar Nike Eyeglasses: Finding Your Perfect Frame

When shopping for Nike prescription eyeglasses, the 7090 stands out for its versatile rectangle shape and extensive color selection, but several comparable models deserve consideration based on your specific needs and budget.

Nike 7090 vs Nike 7092: The Closest Match

The Nike 7092 is the most direct alternative to the 7090, sharing the same acetate construction, full-rim design, and nearly identical starting price of $102.94. Both frames feature Nike's athletic-inspired aesthetic and prescription-ready construction. The key difference lies in styling details and color options—the 7090 offers seven matte finishes including unique choices like Matte Navy/Photo Blue and Mat Crystal Cargo Khaki, while the 7092 may appeal to those seeking a slightly different design interpretation. If you prioritize maximum color variety and the specific fade options, the 7090 is your best choice.

Nike 7090 vs Nike 7125: Budget-Friendly Alternative

For shoppers seeking Nike quality at a lower price point, the Nike 7125 starts at just $90.59—about $12 less than the 7090. While both are prescription-ready acetate frames from Nike's trusted eyewear line, the 7125's lower price may reflect simpler design elements or fewer premium features. However, it still delivers Nike's commitment to durability and athletic style. Choose the 7125 if you want to save money while staying within the Nike brand, or opt for the 7090 if the additional color options and specific design details justify the modest price increase.

Nike 7090 vs Nike 8130: Design Evolution

The Nike 8130 represents Nike's 8000 series and offers a mid-range price point ($107.65-$120.00) similar to the 7090. This comparison comes down to design preference—the 7090's 7000 series styling versus the 8130's potentially more modern 8000 series aesthetic. Both provide the same prescription-ready functionality and Nike's quality construction. The 7090's advantage is its wider price range (up to $166.07) and seven color options, suggesting more customization possibilities. Choose the 8130 if you prefer its specific design language, or the 7090 for greater color variety and style options.

Bottom Line: The Nike 7090 eyeglasses offer the best combination of color variety, style options, and Nike's athletic design DNA in the mid-range price segment. With seven matte finishes and a versatile rectangle shape, they provide more personalization than the 7092 or 8130, while justifying the slight premium over the budget-friendly 7125.
