Best color lense I own

I currently have 3 Oakley drop point sunglasses with 3 different color lenses: prizm black, prizm sapphire, and this 3rd one I just got with prizm maritime. It has the best contrast and colors look sharper with the maritime lense. By far my favorite of the three

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Oakley Drop Point sunglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the Oakley Drop Point 9367 is fully prescription-ready. The frame accepts Oakley True Digital lenses for prescriptions up to -6.00 diopters, as well as progressive and bifocal options. The 8-base wrap and O-Matter construction accommodate custom Rx lenses while maintaining optical clarity and comfort.

What face size fits the Oakley Drop Point best?

The Drop Point is designed for small to medium faces. With a 60mm lens width, 18mm bridge, and 134mm frame width, it fits comfortably without pinching. Larger faces may experience insufficient coverage or temple pressure, but for the right size, the Drop Point offers excellent comfort and a secure, lightweight fit.

What is Oakley Prizm lens technology?

Prizm is Oakley's proprietary lens technology that enhances color and contrast by selectively filtering specific light wavelengths. Unlike standard tints that uniformly darken vision, Prizm amplifies colors your eyes are most sensitive to while reducing visual noise, resulting in sharper details, richer colors, and improved reaction times in various environments.

How does the Drop Point compare to the Oakley Holbrook?

The Drop Point offers similar coverage to the Holbrook but with a sportier 8.75 base wrap and lighter O-Matter construction. The Drop Point features a more modern, sculpted design with straight-back temples, while the Holbrook has a classic square shape. Both fit small to medium faces, but the Drop Point provides better peripheral vision and side protection.

Can I replace the lenses in Oakley Drop Point sunglasses?

Yes, the Drop Point features easy lens interchange. You can swap in different Oakley authentic replacement lenses, including Prizm and polarized options, to match different activities or lighting conditions. Replacement lenses are available directly from Oakley and authorized retailers, ensuring proper fit and optical performance.

Are Oakley Drop Point sunglasses lightweight?

Yes, the Drop Point is exceptionally lightweight thanks to its O-Matter frame construction. Multiple customer reviews describe the weight as "practically nothing" while still feeling durable. The stress-resistant material provides all-day comfort without pressure points, making them ideal for active use, running, or extended wear.

Oakley Drop Point vs Holbrook XL vs Gascan: Which Frame Fits You?

Choosing between the Oakley Drop Point 9367, Holbrook XL 9417, and Gascan 9014 comes down to fit, style preference, and how you'll use them. All three are rectangular lifestyle frames, but each serves a different need.

Drop Point: Modern Sport-Lifestyle Hybrid

The Drop Point strikes the best balance between performance and everyday style. Its 8.75 base wrap delivers superior peripheral vision and side protection compared to flatter frames, while the lightweight O-Matter construction and Unobtainium nosepads make it exceptionally comfortable for active use. The 60mm lens width and 134mm frame width fit small to medium faces perfectly. If you want a frame that looks sophisticated but performs like a sport sunglass, the Drop Point is your choice.

Holbrook XL: Classic Square with More Coverage

The Holbrook XL offers a larger 59mm lens in a classic square shape with retro appeal. It's a better option if you have a slightly larger face or prefer a more traditional look. However, the flatter lens curve means less wrap and peripheral vision, and the acetate construction is heavier than the Drop Point's O-Matter. Choose the Holbrook XL if style trumps performance and you need a bit more coverage.

Gascan: Budget-Friendly Sport Classic

The Gascan is Oakley's most affordable full-rim option, starting at $99.15. It has a narrower fit than the Drop Point, making it better suited for smaller faces. While it shares a sporty rectangular shape, it lacks the Drop Point's refined design and comfortable Unobtainium nosepads. The Gascan is a solid choice if budget is your priority and you have a smaller face.

Our Recommendation

For small to medium faces seeking the best blend of comfort, performance, and modern style, the Drop Point 9367 is the clear winner. Its lightweight construction, superior wrap, and Prizm lens options make it ideal for active lifestyles. The Holbrook XL suits those who prioritize classic looks and need slightly more coverage, while the Gascan is the budget pick for smaller faces.
