The SpyOptic 570000 Oslind eyeglasses bring bold square geometry and California design to prescription eyewear. Built for small-to-medium faces, these full-rim acetate frames balance clean lines with standout details—most notably SPY's signature micro-cross hardware at the temples, a subtle metallic accent that sets the Oslind apart from generic square frames.
Handcrafted Acetate Construction
The Oslind is handcrafted from acetate, a plant-based material prized for its durability, lightweight feel, and rich color depth. Acetate frames are stronger than basic plastic and more comfortable for all-day wear, reducing pressure on the nose and ears. The material accepts prescription lenses easily, and the full-rim design conceals lens edges—ideal if you have a stronger prescription. Available in five finishes: Crystal (clear), Java (brown), Black, Honey Tort, and Matte Black.
Built to Last: 5-Barrel Hinges
The Oslind uses robust 5-barrel hinges, a premium hinge design that offers more surface area and smoother, more stable movement than standard 3-barrel hinges. These hinges are easy to repair if a screw loosens and are built to handle daily wear. The single-bridge design keeps the look streamlined, and the square shape adds definition to round or oval faces.
Prescription-Ready & Progressive-Compatible
These frames are prescription-ready and progressive-eligible, so you can add single-vision, bifocal, or progressive lenses. The square shape and full-rim construction work well with high-index lenses if you need a stronger Rx. SPY Optic has been producing quality eyewear since 1994, and the Oslind reflects that California-cool heritage—frames that work as well in the boardroom as they do off-duty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are the SpyOptic 570000 Oslind eyeglasses prescription-ready?
Yes, the Oslind frames are fully prescription-ready and progressive-eligible. You can add single-vision, bifocal, or progressive lenses. The full-rim acetate construction works well with high-index lenses if you have a stronger prescription, as the frame conceals thicker lens edges.
What size face do the SpyOptic Oslind frames fit?
The Oslind is designed for small-to-medium size faces. The frame sits close to the face for a refined, streamlined look. If you typically wear frames in the 48-53mm lens width range, the Oslind should fit comfortably.
What are the micro-cross details on the Oslind frames?
The micro-cross details are SPY's signature metallic hardware accents located on the temples. These subtle cross-shaped emblems add a distinctive design element without being overly flashy, giving the Oslind a unique look compared to standard square frames.
What material are the SpyOptic Oslind frames made from?
The Oslind frames are handcrafted from acetate, a durable, lightweight, plant-based material. Acetate is stronger than basic plastic, offers rich color depth, and is comfortable for all-day wear. It's commonly used in premium eyewear because it reduces pressure on the nose and holds its shape well over time.
What are 5-barrel hinges and why do they matter?
The Oslind uses 5-barrel hinges, which are considered premium-quality hardware. The five interlocking barrels provide more surface area for the screw, resulting in smoother movement and greater stability compared to standard 3-barrel hinges. They're durable, easy to repair, and built to handle daily wear.
What comes with the SpyOptic Oslind eyeglasses?
The Oslind eyeglasses come with a protective carrying case and a cleaning cloth. These accessories help you maintain and protect your frames when not in use.
