DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Genesis G4054 Eyeglasses bring classic pilot style to everyday prescription wear with a lightweight titanium construction that disappears on your face. Built around a full-rim double-bridge aviator frame, the G4054 balances retro appeal with practical comfort—ideal for men who need prescription eyeglasses that work from morning meetings to evening drives.

Titanium Frame: Built Light, Built to Last

Titanium isn't just lighter than traditional metal frames—it's about 40% lighter than steel while maintaining superior strength. That translates to all-day comfort without pressure marks on your nose or behind your ears. The material is naturally hypoallergenic and nickel-free, making the G4054 a smart choice if you have sensitive skin or metal allergies. Titanium also resists corrosion from sweat and humidity, so these frames hold up through daily wear without degrading or discoloring.

The double-bridge design adds structural stability across the frame front, distributing weight evenly and preventing warping—a feature borrowed from 1930s aviation engineering that's proven its value over decades. Adjustable silicone nose pads let you dial in a custom fit, and the spring hinges flex to accommodate different head widths without loosening over time.

Prescription-Ready Aviator Shape

The G4054's pilot shape offers generous lens height, which makes it particularly well-suited for progressive lenses—the vertical depth accommodates distance, intermediate, and reading zones without compromise. Available in two sizes (55mm and 57mm eye width), the frame fits a range of face shapes, with the aviator silhouette complementing square, oval, and heart-shaped faces by softening angular features.

Choose from three finishes: gunmetal, black, or gold. Each pairs a metal front with sleek acetate temple tips that add grip and a modern contrast. The full-rim construction keeps lenses secure and provides maximum durability compared to semi-rimless alternatives.

Genesis eyeglasses deliver dependable quality at an accessible price point. Part of Altair Eyewear's portfolio, the brand focuses on functional, on-trend designs for adults who want frames that simply work—no fuss, no markup for branding. The G4054 ships prescription-ready, compatible with single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses, plus optional coatings like anti-reflective and blue-light filtering.

Terrible service - fraud???

I ordered glasses, paid, never arrived, kept checking status, they kept telling me it’s coming tomorrow, NEVER arrived, was told they would send a second pair ASAP no cost to me, never arrived, I called telephone provided and a rude person was not helpful and told me I just have to wait! I told him I’ll buy another and cancel the first one, he said no they need to receive it back before sending another, then checked and told me they did not have in stock! I feel fraud was committed and they do. It have but are quick to take your money — u told him to cancel and he said NO! I told him I would deal with my bank and to consider this cancelled and hung up, he kept talking!!! I will report to BBB and put this all on Yelp!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Genesis G4054 eyeglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the G4054 frames are fully prescription-ready and compatible with single-vision, bifocal, and progressive lenses. The aviator shape provides generous lens height, making it particularly well-suited for progressive prescriptions. You can also add lens coatings like anti-reflective, scratch-resistant, and blue-light filtering.

What are the benefits of titanium frames?

Titanium frames are about 40% lighter than steel, reducing pressure on your nose and ears during all-day wear. They're hypoallergenic and nickel-free, ideal for sensitive skin or metal allergies. Titanium is also corrosion-resistant, withstanding sweat and humidity without rusting or degrading, and maintains its shape over time due to high tensile strength.

What size should I choose for the Genesis G4054?

The G4054 is available in two sizes: 55mm (with 17mm bridge and 145mm temples) and 57mm (with 17mm bridge and 150mm temples). The 55mm works well for small to medium faces, while the 57mm suits medium to larger faces. Both sizes feature adjustable nose pads that can be customized for your specific bridge width and height.

Do aviator frames work well with progressive lenses?

Yes, aviator frames like the G4054 are excellent for progressive lenses because of their generous vertical lens height. This depth accommodates the distance, intermediate, and reading zones of progressive lenses comfortably. Proper fit is critical—the adjustable nose pads help ensure the frame sits securely so the progressive zones align with your natural line of sight.

What is a double-bridge frame and why is it popular?

A double-bridge frame features a second bar running across the top of the lenses, originally designed in the 1930s for structural reinforcement in aviator sunglasses. The double bridge adds durability and stability, distributes frame weight more evenly, and creates a distinctive retro-modern aesthetic. It's a design detail that adds both function and visual character to the frame.

Genesis G4054 vs Other Genesis Frames

If you're considering the Genesis G4054, you might also be weighing other Genesis models. Here's how the G4054 stacks up against similar frames in the Genesis collection.

G4054 vs Genesis G4042

The Genesis G4042 offers a more budget-friendly option at $55.25-$68.04, compared to the G4054's $88.28. Both are metal frames from the same Genesis line, but the G4054 distinguishes itself with its double-bridge pilot design and titanium construction. If you're drawn to the classic aviator aesthetic and want the lightweight, hypoallergenic benefits of titanium, the G4054 is worth the premium. The G4042 may suit you better if you prefer a different frame shape or want to save on upfront cost, though you'll miss out on the G4054's distinctive retro appeal and superior material properties.

G4054 vs Genesis G4048

The Genesis G4048 comes in at $57.69, making it significantly more affordable than the G4054. Both are metal frames with the same Genesis quality standards, but the G4054's titanium construction sets it apart—it's lighter, more corrosion-resistant, and hypoallergenic. The G4054's pilot shape also provides better lens height for progressive wearers, while the double-bridge design adds both structural stability and visual character. Choose the G4048 if budget is your primary concern and you don't need the specific benefits of titanium or the aviator silhouette. Opt for the G4054 if you value all-day comfort, have sensitive skin, or want the iconic double-bridge pilot look.

Why Choose the G4054?

The G4054 stands out in the Genesis lineup for its titanium frame material, double-bridge aviator design, and progressive-friendly lens height. It's the right choice if you want a lightweight, durable frame that won't irritate sensitive skin, and you appreciate the retro-modern aesthetic of pilot eyewear. The adjustable nose pads and spring hinges add customization and comfort that justify the slightly higher price compared to other Genesis models.
