DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Guess 2685 Eyeglasses bring a refined take on the classic pilot shape with delicate metal construction and feminine detailing. These prescription-ready frames feature a full-rim design in lightweight stainless steel, available in shiny gold and shiny rose gold finishes that add warmth without overwhelming your features.

Pilot Shape Meets Modern Femininity

The pilot (or aviator) frame has been a staple since the 1930s, originally designed for function but now celebrated for its versatility across face shapes. The Guess 2685 adapts this heritage shape with a softer, more contemporary approach—smaller proportions (53mm lens width) suit a range of face sizes, while the single bridge and adjustable nose pads ensure a secure, customized fit. The textured temple arms feature subtle sparkle detailing that catches light beautifully, adding visual interest without veering into costume territory.

What sets these frames apart is the balance: substantial enough to make a statement, light enough for all-day wear. The 17mm bridge and 135mm temples provide stability, and the metal construction means they can be adjusted by an optician for a truly personalized fit. These frames work equally well for single-vision distance or reading prescriptions, bifocals, and progressive lenses—the generous lens height accommodates the multiple vision zones progressives require.

Quality Construction, Accessible Price

Guess eyewear delivers on the brand's commitment to accessible luxury. The stainless steel frame resists corrosion and maintains its finish over time, while the spring hinges add flexibility and durability. Customers note the frames arrive in protective packaging with a branded case, and the quality exceeds expectations at this price point. The rose gold finish, in particular, has become a go-to for those seeking a warmer alternative to traditional silver or gunmetal tones—it pairs beautifully with a wide range of skin tones and complements both professional and casual wardrobes.

Whether you're updating your everyday frames or looking for a versatile pair that transitions from office to evening, the Guess 2685 offers the style and substance to become your new go-to. Add your prescription lenses and you're ready to see—and be seen—in style.

I love this glasses!

When I first wanted them, i thought it would only come in a little baggy and be well protected. And I’m glad to say that I was wrong. Not only did it come with the actual glasses, it came with a nice red case and velvet interior. I loved it. The glasses are a little bit bigger than what the picture portrays it to be, but they still fit. Overall, I love these glasses. :))

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Guess 2685 eyeglasses compatible with progressive lenses?

Yes, the Guess 2685 frames are fully compatible with progressive (no-line bifocal) lenses. The pilot shape provides sufficient vertical lens height (approximately 33mm) to accommodate the near, intermediate, and distance vision zones that progressive lenses require. The 53mm lens width also offers ample space for proper progressive lens fitting.

What is the difference between pilot and aviator eyeglasses?

The terms are often used interchangeably. "Pilot" styles sometimes refer to fashion-forward variations of the classic aviator shape, often with smaller proportions or modern details marketed toward women. The Guess 2685 features the signature teardrop-inspired shape, metal construction, and adjustable nose pads characteristic of both styles, adapted with contemporary feminine touches like textured temples.

What size are the Guess 2685 frames?

The Guess 2685 measures 53mm lens width, 17mm bridge width, and 135mm temple length (53-17-135). This is considered a medium size that fits most adult faces comfortably. The adjustable nose pads allow for customization to ensure a secure, personalized fit across different nose bridge widths.

Are Guess eyeglass frames good quality?

Yes, Guess frames are considered excellent quality for their price point. They're constructed from durable materials like stainless steel and high-quality acetate, feature reinforced hinges, and offer lightweight comfort. Guess has been in the eyewear market for decades, and their frames balance fashionable design with long-lasting construction and comfortable fits.

What colors are available for the Guess 2685?

The Guess 2685 is available in two metallic finishes: shiny gold (032) and shiny rose gold (028). Both feature the same textured temple detailing and come with neutral-toned temple tips for comfortable wear. The rose gold option has become particularly popular for its warm, contemporary aesthetic that complements a wide range of skin tones.

Do the Guess 2685 frames come with a case?

Yes, authentic Guess eyeglasses come with original branded packaging including a protective case. Customer reviews specifically mention the Guess 2685 arrives with a quality case featuring velvet interior, exceeding expectations for frames at this price point. While specific shape details vary, both frames demonstrate Guess's commitment to lightweight stainless steel construction and prescription versatility. The 2685's pilot shape tends to suit a wider range of face shapes due to its balanced proportions, while the 2583 may appeal to those seeking a different aesthetic. Consider the 2685 if the pilot shape specifically appeals to you or if you want the textured temple detailing that sets this frame apart.
