DESCRIPTION RATINGS & REVIEWS PRESCRIPTION GUIDE

The Kate Spade Annika Sunglasses bring a feminine twist to the classic rectangular frame. These full-rim acetate sunglasses combine Kate Spade's signature playful style with practical sun protection, making them a versatile choice for women who want both fashion and function.

Lightweight Comfort Meets Bold Style

The Annika features a 56mm rectangular lens in a full-rim acetate frame that's surprisingly light on your face. The 130mm temples include a subtle patterned detail on the interior—a Kate Spade hallmark that adds personality without being loud. The metallic logo plate at the temple catches the light as you move, giving these frames a polished finish. Available in five colors including tortoise, black, and navy, each with polarized or gradient lens options.

Customers consistently praise the fit and durability. One Amazon reviewer noted they've been wearing their pair daily for almost five years with no signs of wear. The rectangular shape works particularly well for round and oval face shapes, adding definition and balance to softer features.

Prescription-Ready with Full UV Protection

These sunglasses are prescription-ready, so you can add your Rx lenses for clear vision and sun protection in one pair. The polarized lens variants cut glare from water and roads—especially helpful for driving and outdoor activities—while all versions provide 100% UV protection against UVA and UVB rays. The brown polarized lenses offer warm, natural color perception, while the gray options deliver neutral tones that don't distort colors.

The saddle bridge (15mm) and adjustable wire core temples ensure a comfortable, customized fit. At 56-15-130mm, the Annika sits in the medium size range—big enough to make a statement without overwhelming smaller faces.

Love my new sunglasses!

I took a chance on a new shape for me knowing that a smaller frame works better for my face and these more rectangular shape are great. Love the peek of a little pattern on the inside of the sides too. Glad I spent some $ and got better sunglasses for my sensitive eyes.

So happy to get these prescription Kate Spade sunglasses. Love the style, fit and awesome price - saved $85.00 by ordering from Designer Optics instead of my local eyewear shop.

They were much smaller than I thought. Won’t even work as the gift I intended.

It is a Christmas gift for my daughter and I have not given it yet so I haven’t even opened it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are the Kate Spade Annika sunglasses prescription-ready?

Yes, the Annika sunglasses are fully prescription-ready. You can have them fitted with single-vision, bifocal, or progressive prescription lenses. Many customers choose to add prescription lenses to these frames for everyday wear with sun protection.

Do these sunglasses provide UV protection?

Yes, all Kate Spade Annika sunglasses provide 100% UV400 protection, blocking both UVA and UVB rays. The polarized lens options also reduce glare from reflective surfaces like water and roads, which is especially helpful for driving and outdoor activities.

What face shapes work best with rectangular sunglasses like the Annika?

Rectangular sunglasses are ideal for round and oval face shapes. The angular lines of the rectangle frame add definition and contrast to softer, curved facial features, creating a balanced and flattering look. The Annika's medium width (56mm lens) works well without overwhelming smaller faces.

What's the difference between polarized and gradient lenses on the Annika?

Polarized lenses (available in brown and gray) reduce glare and enhance contrast, making them ideal for driving and water sports. Gradient lenses transition from darker at the top to lighter at the bottom, offering style and sun protection while allowing easier reading. Both provide full UV protection.

How do the Kate Spade Annika sunglasses fit?

The Annika measures 56mm (lens width), 15mm (bridge), and 130mm (temple length), placing them in the medium size range. They feature a saddle nose bridge and adjustable wire core temples for a customized fit. Customer reviews consistently mention they're lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear.

Do these sunglasses come with a case?

Yes, authentic Kate Spade Annika sunglasses come with a branded Kate Spade case and cleaning cloth. The case is designed to protect your sunglasses when not in use and is included with every purchase.

Kate Spade Annika vs. Johanna vs. Dalia2 Sunglasses

If you're drawn to Kate Spade's playful approach to eyewear, you might be weighing a few options. Here's how the Annika compares to two other popular styles in our collection.

Annika vs. Johanna

Both the Annika and the Johanna are rectangular Kate Spade frames in the same price range ($59.50-$109.85 for the Annika, $60-$91.54 for the Johanna). The choice often comes down to subtle differences in sizing and temple details. The Annika features a distinctive metallic logo plate and patterned temple interiors, while the Johanna may offer different color combinations. Both are prescription-ready and available with polarized lenses. If you prefer the Annika's specific measurements (56-15-130mm) and the tortoise or black silver sparkle options, it's the better pick.

Annika vs. Dalia2

The Dalia2 takes a different design direction. While the Annika is a classic rectangle that flatters round and oval faces, the Dalia2 offers a more fashion-forward shape. The Dalia2's price range is wider ($61-$237.85), reflecting more lens and customization options. If you want a versatile, everyday rectangular frame that works for years, the Annika is the safer choice. If you're looking for something that stands out more or want to explore different Kate Spade aesthetics, consider the Dalia2.

Bottom line: The Annika is ideal if you want a lightweight, classic rectangular frame with Kate Spade's signature details, proven durability (customers report 5+ years of daily wear), and a fit that works well for round or oval faces. It's a workhorse pair that doesn't sacrifice style.
